Trackwork CAD & BIM Operator

About the role

Alstom is looking for a Trackwork CAD & BIM Operator to prepare track design drawings, BIM documents and support track engineering activities. The role involves creating construction‑ready documentation, managing track submissions and ensuring design compliance across railway projects.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse contractual technical documents and assess horizontal and vertical railway alignments.
• Prepare construction‑team track documents such as drawings, sections, layouts, material details and assembly listings.
• Design mechanical assemblies, typical and "for construction" track sections, and interface drawings.
• Issue construction drawings for reinforcement, turnouts, special trackworks and road‑crossing phasing.
• Follow up on‑site track installation, update as‑built drawings and manage traceability.
• Prepare bill of quantities, submittals and obtain technical approvals.
• Ensure compliance with standards, technical specifications and quality procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related technical field.
• Experience in railway projects covering preliminary, detailed and construction design.
• Proven ability to work in multidisciplinary, global project teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
