Software Engineer III – Full Stack (Chronicle, Google Cloud)

About the role

Google’s software engineers build next‑generation technologies that serve billions of users worldwide. This role focuses on full‑stack development for Chronicle within Google Cloud, contributing to large‑scale, high‑impact products that span back‑end services and front‑end user experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Write product or system development code for back‑end and front‑end components.
• Participate in or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to evaluate technology choices.
• Review code from other developers, ensuring adherence to style guidelines, testability, and efficiency.
• Contribute to documentation and educational content, updating it based on product changes and user feedback.
• Triage, debug, track, and resolve product or system issues, analyzing impacts on hardware, network, or service operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 2 years of software development experience in one or more programming languages, or 1 year with an advanced degree.
• 2 years of full‑stack development experience, including back‑end work (Java, Python, Golang, or C++) and front‑end work (JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS).
• Preferred: Master’s or PhD in Computer Science or related field, plus 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
• Experience developing accessible technologies is a plus.
