Software Engineer – Automated Test Development for Networking

About the role

NVIDIA's Networking System Product Engineering group is seeking a Software Engineer to design and implement automated tests for next‑generation networking switches and adapters. The role bridges hardware and software, ensuring high‑availability production testing and product quality.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop automated test suites for networking switches and adapters.
• Collaborate with hardware, ASIC, and software teams to achieve reliable, high‑coverage testing.
• Drive test definition from early development through final system verification.
• Utilize test frameworks to identify, debug, and resolve production issues.
• Support production lines with deployments, patches, and maintenance.
• Maintain and improve existing test code and procedures.

Required profile

• BSc/MSc in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years of software development experience.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with experience working in global, cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Python or a similar programming language.
• Experience with Git version control.
• Linux‑based development environment.
