Senior Compiler Engineer

About the role

Ceva’s AI Division is seeking a Senior Compiler Engineer to lead the design and development of its open‑source based toolchain and graph compiler for custom DSP and NPU architectures. You will work in a globally distributed team that embraces AI‑agentic development, using coding assistants to accelerate productivity.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement a full‑stack compiler toolchain targeting Ceva’s custom DSP and NPU hardware.
• Develop graph compilation flows, including transformations, operator mapping, and code generation.
• Integrate AI coding agents (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code) into daily engineering workflows.
• Own complex components from architecture through delivery and performance optimisation.
• Provide technical mentorship, conduct code reviews, and guide junior engineers.
• Collaborate with hardware, algorithm, and software teams across multiple locations.
• Analyse and optimise compiler output for correctness and performance on all Ceva processor families.

Required profile

• B.Sc. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline (M.Sc. or higher is a plus).
• 5+ years of hands‑on software development experience.
• Strong C++ expertise; Python proficiency is a plus.
• Proven ability to deliver complex software components independently.
• Solid software‑engineering fundamentals and strong communication skills.
• Comfortable working in a global, multi‑site environment.

• MLIR (dialects, passes, graph‑level compilation)
• Experience with AI/ML frameworks and neural‑network execution
• Familiarity with embedded systems, DSP or NPU architectures
• Hands‑on use of AI coding agents such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Claude Code
