Security Analyst

About the role

Jamf is looking for a Security Analyst to strengthen its ability to detect and respond to emerging mobile threats. The role focuses on researching, developing, and tuning detections for Android and iOS malware, while supporting sales and marketing with timely threat intelligence.

Key responsibilities

• Research and design detection patterns for malicious activity on mobile devices using custom tooling.
• Analyze device logs and malware samples to identify zero‑day exploits.
• Maintain and tune detection rules for accuracy and precision.
• Stay current on malware trends and translate findings into actionable detections.
• Provide threat updates to sales, marketing, and customers.
• Participate in incident response and special security projects.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of professional experience in cybersecurity or mobile threat analysis.
• Hands‑on experience extracting and analyzing data from mobile devices.
• Strong understanding of intrusion detection concepts.
• Fluent English with good presentation abilities.

Required skills

• Python programming/scripting.
• Yara rule creation for malware detection.
• SQL and KQL query writing.
• Mobile malware analysis expertise.
• Incident response knowledge.
