Purchasing Buyer – Batteries & Defense

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Buyer to join a leading technology company that designs and manufactures batteries, chargers, and energy storage systems for both defense and civilian markets. The role focuses on sourcing components, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring timely delivery of high‑quality parts.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers for electronic components and battery‑related materials.
• Negotiate prices, terms, and contracts while maintaining cost‑effectiveness.
• Process purchase orders through the ERP system and monitor order status.
• Coordinate with engineering and production teams to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and ensure compliance with company policies.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of purchasing experience, preferably in batteries, battery technology, or the defense sector.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively in English with overseas suppliers.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
