Onshore Construction Representative

About the role

The Onshore Construction Representative provides leadership and execution support for upstream operations, small capital projects, and turnarounds. This position is responsible for planning, directing, and completing construction and commissioning activities safely, efficiently, and in line with quality, cost, and schedule targets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage onshore construction and commissioning for production assets and small‑to‑medium capital projects.
• Develop and implement execution plans, procedures, and site strategies from planning through close‑out.
• Establish construction methods, cost estimates, schedules, and resource requirements.
• Oversee contractors, subcontractors, and site personnel to ensure alignment with project objectives.
• Conduct constructability reviews and hazard‑identification workshops, integrating risk controls into work packs.
• Implement site safety management systems and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Apply quality assurance and quality control processes to meet specified standards.
• Monitor compliance with building codes, permits, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage budgets, progress measurement, reporting, and forecasting.
• Identify execution risks, recommend schedule or strategy adjustments, and coordinate changes with project leadership.
• Coordinate tools, materials, equipment, and support services for construction execution.
• Support contract development, negotiation, and approval.
• Maintain site document management systems and issue regular progress reports.
• Lead project close‑out activities, including demobilisation and documentation finalisation.
• Mentor and develop construction and commissioning team members, fostering a strong safety culture.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading onshore construction and commissioning activities for production assets.
• Strong ability to develop and execute construction plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Experience coordinating multiple contractors and subcontractors on site.
• Demonstrated competence in risk assessment, hazard identification, and safety management.
• Excellent communication skills for reporting to senior engineering and project management teams.
