Facilities Manager – Building Operations & Maintenance

About the role

The Facilities Manager is responsible for the smooth operation, maintenance, appearance, and safety of a three‑floor office building. Acting as the single point of contact for all employee service requests, the role combines hands‑on troubleshooting with oversight of a network of external contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct daily walkthroughs of all floors, parking garage, and common areas to identify hazards and faults.
• Perform minor repairs independently or coordinate with vendors.
• Manage the service‑request ticketing system, track issues and ensure rapid resolution.
• Oversee external service providers including cleaning, security, window cleaning, transportation, landscaping, utilities, and food ordering.
• Supervise complex‑system contractors for HVAC, elevators, generators, water pumps, and fire safety systems.
• Handle safety officer duties, hazardous‑material compliance, and preparation for annual inspections.
• Maintain an organized building log with all compliance certificates and inspection records.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in building or facilities maintenance, preferably in office or commercial environments.
• Proven ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and supervise subcontractors.
• Strong service orientation and excellent interpersonal communication.
• Technical background enabling diagnosis of basic mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues.
