Mechanical Design Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the mechanical development of our next‑generation products, taking concepts through to mass production. The role works closely with internal and external stakeholders in a collaborative team environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop mechanical designs for new products from concept through to mass‑production readiness.
• Interface with cross‑functional teams, including electronics, manufacturing, and supply‑chain partners.
• Perform analysis, testing, design iterations and validation to ensure performance and reliability.
• Create and maintain detailed GD&T drawings, assembly tolerances and BOM structures.
• Lead full life‑cycle projects, managing engineering changes within PLM systems.

Required profile

• BSc in Mechanical Engineering (MSc preferred).
• Minimum 5 years experience in electronics packaging design.
• Strong understanding of GD&T, assembly tolerances and design for manufacturing (plastic injection molding, metal casting, machining, stamping, forming).
• Experience with indoor/outdoor equipment design and thermal, dynamical and statical analysis.
• Proven ability to lead projects and work under pressure; self‑motivated team player with strong communication skills.
