IT Systems Team Lead

About the role

We are looking for an IT Systems Team Lead to head the team responsible for designing, operating and modernising our corporate IT infrastructure across datacentres and cloud. The role combines hands‑on technical work with people management in a fast‑paced, global environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and support the IT systems team, providing technical guidance and fostering professional growth.
• Collaborate with other departments to align IT strategy with business objectives.
• Identify and implement process improvements, new technologies and modern architectures.
• Manage and monitor hybrid, on‑premise and cloud endpoint, server and storage infrastructure.
• Ensure high availability, reliability and performance of all systems.
• Administer Microsoft 365 services and support global productivity tool deployments.
• Install, configure, test and maintain Windows, Linux, macOS and related management tools.
• Act as Tier‑3 escalation point for complex IT incidents.
• Apply security‑focused design, patching, access control and conduct regular IT audits.
• Adopt DevOps and AI‑assisted automation for routine tasks and infrastructure deployment.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of experience leading IT/infrastructure teams.
• Proven track record of delivering IT projects and technology integrations.
• Strong stakeholder management and prioritisation skills.
• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft 365, Active Directory and cloud services.
• Ability to work in a fast‑moving, global environment.

Required skills

• Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint)
• Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Entra ID (IAM, SSO, RBAC)
• PowerShell and/or Python scripting
• VMware vSphere 6.x/7.x
• AWS services (EC2, S3, Route53, FSx, IAM, VPC, KMS)
• Hybrid cloud architecture and security best practices
• Infrastructure‑as‑Code tools: Terraform, CloudFormation
• Windows Server & Client, Linux distributions, macOS
• Endpoint management: Microsoft Intune, Jamf Pro
• NAS/SAN storage (NetApp, QNAP, BlueXP) and enterprise backup solutions
• Security‑focused design, patch management, access control and IT audit experience
• DevOps practices and AI‑driven automation (nice‑to‑have: Commvault/Metallic backup)
