Help Desk Technician – Entry Level IT Support

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Help Desk Technician to join the IT team of a leading defense organization. This position is ideal for candidates at the start of their IT career or former military Network Administrators transitioning to the civilian market.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑line Help Desk support to company employees.
• Install software and troubleshoot hardware, software, and operating system issues.
• Set up and configure desktop and laptop computers.
• Manage user accounts and permissions using Active Directory.
• Assist with the rollout of new IT systems and tools.
• Participate in cross‑organizational IT projects.

Required profile

• Minimum one year of Help Desk experience, or roughly two years of relevant military experience as a Network Administrator (mandatory).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Windows 10; familiarity with Windows 11.
• Hands‑on experience with Active Directory.
• Ability to learn quickly, work independently, and collaborate effectively in a team.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and excellent interpersonal skills.
• Basic knowledge of Linux is a plus.
