Frontend Engineer

About the role

Loora is building the first personal AI English tutor and needs a Frontend Engineer to shape its web experience. You will work on the core learning platform, acquisition funnels, dashboards, SEO pages, and the company site.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and ship features for the AI English tutor web app and related products.
• Translate Figma mock‑ups into clean, responsive, high‑performance UI.
• Extend and maintain an internal component library and design system.
• Collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Optimize web and mobile‑web performance (load time, rendering, bundle size).
• Own test coverage for your features, including end‑to‑end tests.
• Make technical trade‑offs and drive decisions within your area.
• Integrate AI/agentic coding tools into daily development workflow.

Required profile

• 5+ years of frontend development experience, preferably on high‑traffic consumer products.
• Proven track record with React, TypeScript, and Next.js in production.
• Strong expertise in modern CSS (Modules, Grid, animations, transitions, custom properties).
• Eye for design and ability to convert high‑fidelity Figma designs into code.
• Experience building or maintaining a component library or design system (e.g., Storybook).
• Solid understanding of web performance trade‑offs.
• Experience with testing frameworks, especially e2e testing using Playwright.
• Excellent communication skills and comfort working with non‑engineers.
• Willingness to dive into backend Python code when needed.
• Hands‑on experience with AI‑assisted coding tools.
