Data Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join a leading financial organization in Lod. The role focuses on building and maintaining data pipelines for AI‑driven projects, working across both cloud (AWS) and on‑premise environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain complex ETL processes handling large volumes of data.
• Build and optimise generic data infrastructure using Python and Apache Spark.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists to deliver data‑focused AI solutions.
• Operate in hybrid environments, leveraging AWS services (Glue, Step Functions, Lambda, SQS/SNS) and on‑premise systems.
• Ensure data quality, performance, and scalability of critical pipelines.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience as a Data Engineer.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or related field.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to work in cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• Python programming.
• Apache Spark for large‑scale data processing.
• ETL design and implementation.
• AWS services: Glue, Step Functions, Lambda, SQS, SNS.
• Familiarity with Redshift, Kafka, microservices, SageMaker (advantage).
