Threat Researcher

About the role

Join a fast‑growing startup that secures cloud and AI applications at scale. As a Threat Researcher in the Exposure & Risk Detection team, you will lead end‑to‑end research projects to uncover emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and misconfigurations that affect customers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and analyze new attack surfaces in cloud services, APIs, and commonly deployed technologies.
• Assess real‑world exploitability of CVEs, misconfigurations, and emerging threats.
• Develop and validate detection rules, automated vulnerability validation tools, and proof‑of‑concept exploits.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to integrate research findings into security solutions.
• Publish security research, exploits, or contribute to open‑source security tooling.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on experience in security research, red‑team, penetration testing, incident response, or vulnerability research.
• Strong sense of ownership and ability to independently drive projects from concept to delivery.
• Excellent written and presentation skills in English and Hebrew.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, TLS) and web technologies.
• Proficiency in Python and Bash for scripting and automation.
• Experience with vulnerability scanners (DAST, SAST, network and host scanners) and detection rule creation.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Hands‑on use of security testing tools such as Burp Suite, nmap, Metasploit, and Nuclei.
