Software Engineering Manager – Data Security (Cortex)

About the role

As a Software Engineering Manager you will lead a high‑performing team that builds cloud‑native solutions for Data Security Posture Management (DSPM). You will combine people leadership, architectural guidance, and product execution to protect enterprise data across multi‑cloud environments.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of 5–7 engineers, fostering an agile, quality‑focused culture.
• Provide technical and architectural direction for microservices, data discovery pipelines, and multi‑cloud integrations.
• Translate complex data‑security requirements into clear engineering roadmaps and deliver features on schedule.
• Design scalable scanning architectures for large‑scale datasets across diverse cloud and database sources.
• Drive engineering best practices for high availability, performance, scalability, and automated testing.
• Promote AI‑assisted development tools to improve productivity and code quality.

Required profile

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 2 years leading engineering teams.
• Proven track record architecting and operating large‑scale, data‑intensive SaaS or cloud platforms.

Required skills

• Java, Kotlin (Spring Boot), Go, Python.
• Microservices architecture, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS/GCP/Azure.
• Relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• AI‑assisted development tools (e.g., Gemini, Claude).
• Big‑data platforms such as Snowflake or Databricks, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure automation.
