Software Developer - Semiconductor Systems

About the role

KLA, a global leader in electronics for the semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem, is looking for a Software Developer in Migdal Ha-emek. The role covers software components for advanced semiconductor systems, from requirements analysis through to deployment, within a team of physicists, engineers and data scientists.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain software components for advanced semiconductor systems.
• Take part in the full software development lifecycle: requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing and deployment.
• Write robust, maintainable, high-quality code following software engineering best practices.
• Investigate and resolve software defects, performance issues and customer-reported problems.
• Collaborate with Systems Engineering, Hardware Engineering, QA and Field Support teams.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and support product releases and continuous improvement.
• Take part in code reviews and promote software quality standards.
• Learn and adopt new technologies, tools and development methodologies.

Required profile

• B.Sc. in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 3+ years of software development experience, or equivalent hands-on experience from military service, internships or major academic projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

Required skills

• C#/.NET and object-oriented design.
• Understanding of software engineering principles and design patterns.
• Multithreaded programming and debugging.
• Familiarity with Windows-based application development.
• Preferred: modern .NET technologies, databases and SQL, hardware-integrated systems, industrial automation, machine control or semiconductor environments.
