SoC Chip Architect – High‑Performance SoC Design

About the role

Google Cloud is looking for a senior SoC Chip Architect to lead the definition of a groundbreaking first‑generation product family. You will bridge high‑level system requirements and detailed chip implementation, shaping custom silicon that powers next‑generation hardware experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Define architecture for high‑performance, energy‑efficient IO SoCs from concept through production.
• Design multi‑chiplet systems and select silicon process technologies.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional partners to create scalable, feature‑rich designs.
• Write detailed architecture specifications and ensure alignment with system‑level requirements.
• Contribute to functional safety (ASIL) and security architecture, including debug infrastructure and secure boot.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of experience leading architectural definition of high‑performance SoCs.
• Proven experience with multi‑chiplet systems and silicon process technology.
• Experience writing architecture specifications.
• Preferred: Master’s or PhD, functional safety expertise, and security architecture experience.
