Senior Software Architect, RISC-V Networking Accelerator

About the role

NVIDIA is seeking a Senior Software Architect to lead the software architecture of RISC-V‑based networking accelerators on its Israel team. You will define the end‑to‑end software stack that enables programmable packet processing, secure deployment, and high‑performance acceleration across NVIDIA networking platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Establish the vision, architecture, and roadmap for the embedded RISC‑V networking accelerator software stack.
• Architect the full software flow from SDKs, real‑time operating systems, firmware, compilation, packaging, signing, registration, deployment, to runtime loading.
• Define interfaces, abstractions, and APIs for embedded programs and guide technical investigations with data‑driven analysis.
• Identify long‑term infrastructure gaps and translate product requirements into clear architecture plans and implementation priorities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of direct experience in embedded software development or low‑level software architecture.
• Extensive background in system software, runtime architecture, and platform software for complex HW/SW products.
• Strong ability to turn requirements into clear architecture and implementation plans across globally distributed teams.

Required skills

• RISC‑V architecture and execution environments.
• Embedded software development and low‑level software concepts (toolchains, compilers, binary formats, ELF).
• Real‑time operating systems (RTOS) integration and firmware development.
• SDK design, secure software delivery, signing and verification flows.
• Networking accelerators, packet processing, RDMA, and NIC/Smart‑NIC interfaces.
