Senior Optimization Engineer

About the role

Bringoz is looking for a Senior Optimization Engineer in Tel Aviv, a full-time position in its R&D team. You will lead the optimization engine that drives the core routing intelligence of the platform, shaping the journey from client requirements to server-side implementation and ensuring the solution is robust and scalable for the last-mile and on-demand market.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as a central pillar of the optimization engine, working closely with the product team to turn client requirements into server-side reality.
• Lead and own the optimization engine architecture to ensure maximum efficiency and scalability.
• Investigate discrepancies between system design and real-world results, prove hypotheses and take action to fix them.
• Define and maintain the server-side end-to-end flow, develop server-side logic and ensure high performance, scalability, maintainability and responsiveness to frontend requests.

Required profile

• 6+ years of experience as a Java backend developer (mandatory).
• BA/BSc in Computer Science or equivalent (mandatory).
• 2+ years of hands-on experience developing and researching algorithms.
• Strong mathematical orientation, able to build, manage and evaluate constraints and algorithms.
• Deep understanding of the route optimization domain.
• Experience leading design and architecture work, and working in large-scale environments on enterprise SaaS products.

Required skills

• Java backend development.
• Relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., Datastore, Mongo).
• Advantageous: Spring framework, Docker/Helm/Kubernetes, and GCP/Azure.
