Senior Backend Java Engineer

About the role

BringOz. is looking for a Senior Backend Java Engineer in Tel Aviv to help build a scalable platform that turns logistics from a bottleneck into a strategic advantage. The engineer will design, develop and implement features for a platform that helps businesses deliver goods and services faster and more precisely.

Key responsibilities

• Design, plan and execute the team's roadmap, focusing on improving application performance
• Work on the design of complex features across the platform
• Collaborate with product managers to turn business requirements into technical solutions
• Work with team members on technology and architecture to drive engineering excellence

Required profile

• 6+ years of experience as a Backend Engineer (Java)
• 2+ years of hands-on experience developing and researching algorithms
• Strong mathematical background
• Outstanding drive and communication skills, with organizational and time-management skills

Required skills

• Relational and NoSQL databases (e.g. MongoDB)
• Large, scalable cloud-based applications
• Microservices architecture and event-based systems
• Bonus: cloud platforms such as Azure or GCP, Docker, Helm, Kubernetes, and the Spring Framework
• BSc. in Computer Science or equivalent (bonus)
