Senior Linux Systems Administrator

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Linux Systems Administrator to manage and maintain our high‑performance, multi‑user Linux server environment and CI/CD pipelines. The role is hands‑on, supporting research and engineering teams while driving automation and operational improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and scale a large‑scale AWS‑hosted Linux server environment, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Architect and maintain custom Python‑based automation tools, internal dashboards, and self‑hosted services.
• Provide high‑level support to internal users, resolving complex environment and connectivity challenges.
• Own the health and optimization of CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
• Proactively handle system hardening, backups, and routine security audits.

Required profile

• 5+ years of proven hands‑on Linux system administration experience.
• Relevant certifications such as RHCSA, RHCE, or Linux+.
• Strong experience with AWS and multi‑user Linux environments (clients and servers).
• Excellent scripting skills in Bash and Python.
• Experience integrating modern developer tools and configuring CI/CD processes.
• Solid knowledge of networking fundamentals and security best practices.
• Effective communication skills for supporting users of varying technical expertise.
