Senior Data Analyst

About the role

Placer.ai is looking for a Senior Data Analyst to own and deliver custom data feeds for its largest customers. You will design, build, and maintain production‑grade pipelines, turning raw location data into actionable insights that drive business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Own custom feeds from requirements gathering through delivery and ongoing maintenance.
• Develop methodologies and acceptance criteria for new metrics.
• Build reproducible, tested production pipelines in PySpark on Databricks, orchestrated with Airflow and Terraform.
• Partner with Solution Engineers and customer‑facing teams on timelines, methodology, and feedback.
• Create reusable components and packages, collaborating with R&D and Data Science to leverage existing datasets, models, and products.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in data analytics or data research with large‑scale datasets.
• 3+ years of hands‑on experience with Python and PySpark at scale.
• Strong applied statistics knowledge (sampling, estimation, bias, significance, uncertainty) and ability to explain limitations to non‑technical audiences.
• Demonstrated ownership of data quality, including metrics and validations.
• Proficiency with AI‑assisted coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot) and sound judgment on their outputs.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
