Senior Buyer – Procurement & Supplier Management

About the role
The Senior Buyer will oversee purchasing activities, work closely with suppliers, contract manufacturers and subcontractors, and drive cost‑reduction and on‑time delivery metrics.
Key responsibilities
- Issue purchase orders and negotiate prices, delivery dates, terms and conditions with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Transform MRP purchase demands into purchase orders and maintain an accurate approved vendor list (AVL).
- Monitor daily/weekly open purchase orders, meet on‑time delivery goals and set cost‑reduction targets.
- Support R&D and operations demand and analyze procurement performance for continuous improvement.
Required profile
- Proven experience procuring optical, mechanical and electronic components.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving and leadership abilities.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
Required skills
- Hands‑on experience with ERP systems (mandatory).
- Negotiation and cost‑reduction expertise.
