Senior Algorithm Developer / Tech Lead

About the role

KLA, a global leader in electronics for the semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem, is looking for a Senior Algorithm Developer / Tech Lead within its Optical Metrology Division. The role sits in the Global Products Group, which develops metrology and inspection products, and involves developing algorithms for the next generation of optical metrology for semiconductor devices. The position is based in Migdal Ha-emek.

Key responsibilities

• Research and develop innovative algorithms for next-generation optical metrology of semiconductor devices
• Define challenges, carry out feasibility research, define concepts, develop solutions, run qualification tests and implement them on tool
• Analyze data across problems of diverse scope, evaluating multiple factors
• Select methods and techniques with good judgment
• Collaborate with senior internal and external personnel in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary environment
• Receive little day-to-day instruction, only general guidance on new assignments

Required profile

• Ph.D. or M.Sc. in Engineering, Physics, Applied Mathematics or a related field, with relevant industry experience
• Proven experience in signal or image processing (required)
• Demonstrated leadership potential, able to take ownership, influence technical decisions and grow into a leadership role
• Experience in algorithm development and implementation
• Experience in the semiconductor industry and in optical systems / microscopy are advantages
