Senior AI Security Researcher

About the role

Origin is building an AI observability platform for endpoint‑based AI deployments. The Senior AI Security Researcher will investigate how adversaries weaponize large language models, autonomous agents and other generative AI systems, turning research insights into defensive capabilities for Origin’s products.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct in‑depth research on emerging AI‑enabled attack vectors such as adversarial prompting, jailbreaks, and misuse of on‑device assistants.
• Develop and prototype tooling to test and mitigate these threats on local models and computer‑use agents.
• Translate research findings into concrete security features and improvements for Origin’s platform.
• Publish high‑quality security research, including blog posts and conference presentations.
• Serve as the subject‑matter expert for adversary tradecraft, supporting other teams and mentoring junior researchers.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in offensive or defensive security research, including red‑team or purple‑team work.
• Proven ability to write research tooling and explain complex technical concepts to both executives and engineers.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, adaptive startup environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in systems programming languages such as Rust, C and C++.
• Deep knowledge of operating system internals and reverse‑engineering techniques.
