Production Planner

About the role

We are seeking a Production Planner to join BioProtect Ltd, a medical startup specializing in radiation protection technology. The role focuses on creating and maintaining a constrained weekly production schedule and managing material inventories to support our innovative biodegradable balloon products.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain a constrained weekly/monthly Master Production Schedule (MPS) while ensuring raw material availability.
• Plan and manage the frozen period for production activities, including rescheduling, reworks, and outsourced work‑in‑progress inventory.
• Maintain material inventories within OCA finished‑goods targets, minimizing excess, obsolete, and expired products.
• Align three‑month committed production schedules with value‑stream managers regarding resources, shifts, equipment, and shutdowns.
• Communicate and escalate low finished‑goods inventory issues and resolve manufacturing conflicts.
• Provide production planning input to the S&OP process and participate in related forums.
• Support compliance activities for change control, deviations, events, and CAPA, assessing supply impact.
• Ensure planning master data (safety stock, lead times) in the ERP system is up‑to‑date.
• Participate in new product launch meetings and forecast activities.
• Support quarterly finance budgeting for inventory and earned hours, as well as repair center operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Supply Chain.
• Relevant certification such as APICS or IBF.
• Experience in production planning, inventory management, and S&OP processes.
• Ability to work with cross‑functional teams and communicate manufacturing impacts.
