Procurement Manager - Metro

About the role

Egis, together with its partners (METAV), has been appointed Network Manager for three new underground metro lines in Tel Aviv, covering 149 km and 109 stations. The company is hiring a Procurement Manager to join the METAV procurement team, which is responsible for procuring the entire metro network across all disciplines, from design through construction to operation.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver the procurement strategy from development to delivery, covering all consultants, contractors, financial and industrial partners.
• Guide the Line Managers (Designers) on procurement, commercial and contract matters, keeping the approach consistent across the network.
• Establish new contract management and procurement procedures and processes on behalf of the Client.
• Support the Client in procurement procedures, reviewing and assessing bidder documentation and proposals.
• Identify and manage procurement risks, support assessments of deliverables and strategy proposals, and engage with suppliers and candidates for contracts.
• Work closely with the Client's procurement and contract management team, benchmark best practices for large infrastructure projects and ensure effective reporting to the Lead Procurement Manager.

Required profile

• At least 10 years' experience in major infrastructure or transportation projects, including mass transit.
• In-depth knowledge of metro/rail/LRT procurement and good knowledge of contract management and procurement processes.
• Ability to lead project teams, work independently and under pressure, and make decisions in complex situations.
• Authority to manage and interact with stakeholders and the client, and a high ethical standard.
• Experience in public procurement documentation in a large international rail/LRT/metro project is an advantage.
