Postdoctoral Researcher – Brain Imaging & EMA Study

About the role

The project investigates how adolescents' emotional difficulties influence their parents' emotions over time, using functional near‑infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS), hormonal assays, and intensive longitudinal designs (ecological momentary assessment). The postdoctoral researcher will join the team early, shaping the scientific direction and supervising junior staff.

Key responsibilities

• Lead manuscript preparation and present findings at international conferences.
• Develop independent research questions and contribute to the project's intellectual strategy.
• Write grant proposals for future research phases.
• Manage data pipelines, conduct multilevel and dyadic statistical analyses.
• Oversee participant recruitment, coordinate research sessions, and ensure data quality.
• Supervise and train PhD, master’s students, and research assistants.

Required profile

• PhD in clinical/developmental psychology, neuroscience, education, or a closely related discipline.
• Strong methodological and statistical background, especially with longitudinal or intensive longitudinal (EMA) data.
• Full professional proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
• Excellent organizational abilities and experience managing research teams.

Required skills

• Experience with multilevel and dyadic modeling techniques.
• Proficiency in data management and statistical analysis of complex longitudinal datasets.
