Payroll Accountant – Full Ownership of Payroll for 300 Employees

About the role

Elmo Motion Control is seeking a Payroll Accountant to take full ownership of the monthly payroll process for approximately 300 employees, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely delivery of payslips.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the end‑to‑end monthly payroll for ~300 staff, from data collection to payslip generation.
• Conduct payroll checks and controls covering attendance, overtime, vacation, sick leave, social benefits, pension contributions, taxation and employee benefit funds.
• Handle employee onboarding, terminations, salary updates and changes throughout the employment lifecycle.
• Prepare and submit reports to authorities and institutional bodies, performing required reconciliations.
• Provide professional support to employees and managers on payroll, benefits and employment terms.
• Collaborate closely with HR, Accounting, managers, insurance companies, pension funds and external providers.
• Monitor legislative changes in labor law, payroll and taxation and implement them.

Required profile

• Certified Payroll Accountant certification (mandatory).
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Payroll Accountant, independently managing payroll for 300+ employees.
• Proven ability to act as the sole payroll professional in a medium‑to‑large organization.
• High proficiency in Hebrew (high level) and good English.
• Strong attention to detail, discretion and ability to work under pressure.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with Hargal attendance management system.
