Medical Affairs Manager - Infectious Diseases

About the role

The Medical Affairs Manager for Infectious Diseases is responsible for developing and executing the country’s Medical Affairs strategic plan. The role involves up to 50 % of time in external engagements with the scientific community to support patient outcomes and access.

Key responsibilities

• Consolidate actionable medical insights to inform company strategies and translate global medical goals into local tactics.
• Lead cross‑functional collaboration on investigator‑initiated studies, clinical development programs, and data generation activities (phases I‑IV).
• Provide non‑promotional, balanced scientific information in line with company standards and local regulations.
• Build trust with external scientific stakeholders through peer‑to‑peer exchange, advisory boards, symposia, and collaborations with societies and publications.
• Support regulatory, compliance and market‑access issues, including safety or quality incident response and health‑technology assessment.
• Deliver prompt medical information to internal and external stakeholders and review local response documents.
• Contribute therapeutic training to internal teams and represent the local scientific environment within the regional Medical Affairs team.

Required profile

• Ability to allocate up to 50 % of working time to external scientific engagements.
• Experience in coordinating investigator‑initiated studies and clinical research activities.
• Strong understanding of infectious‑disease therapeutic area and medical‑affairs processes.
• Capability to communicate scientific and business needs across internal and external stakeholders.
