Medical Advisor Oncology

About the role

AbbVie is seeking a Medical Advisor Oncology to join its Israel team. The role will serve as a trusted medical and scientific partner, supporting the oncology portfolio across medical, commercial, regulatory and research activities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide clinical expertise to the Brand Team and cross‑functional partners, ensuring ethical, patient‑focused decision‑making.
• Develop and execute the medical strategy and annual medical plan in line with Global Medical Affairs objectives.
• Deliver accurate medical information, scientific guidance and training to internal stakeholders, including the sales force.
• Review promotional and training materials for scientific accuracy, balance and compliance.
• Build and maintain long‑term relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and healthcare professionals; represent AbbVie at scientific meetings and advisory boards.
• Support regulatory and market‑access activities by supplying relevant medical input.
• Design and oversee Phase IV, post‑marketing, registry and epidemiological studies, and provide oversight for Investigator‑Initiated Studies.

Required profile

• Advanced degree (Ph.D., M.D., Pharm.D. or equivalent) in a relevant scientific discipline; a master’s degree combined with relevant Medical Affairs experience may be considered.
• Proven experience in a Medical Science Liaison or Medical Advisor role within a competitive pharmaceutical environment, preferably with oncology exposure.
• Strong scientific communication and presentation abilities, with the confidence to engage specialist physicians and internal teams.
• Demonstrated project‑management skills, capable of leading initiatives and managing multiple priorities.
