Mechanical Engineer

About the role

KLA, a global leader in electronics for the semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem, is looking for a Mechanical Engineer in Migdal Ha-emek. The role covers mechanical design of precision components, modules and subsystems, from concept through prototype and handover to manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Define product requirements and specifications, and conduct feasibility studies and technical solution evaluations
• Support cost estimation and scheduling, and develop conceptual and detailed designs with detailed drawings using 3D CAD tools (Creo/ProE)
• Perform tolerance stack-up analyses and apply GD&T methodologies
• Carry out and support engineering analyses, including thermal, vibration, fluid and FEA simulations (an advantage)
• Lead and take part in design reviews, procure prototype parts and support vendor interactions
• Assemble, integrate and test prototypes and subsystems, and support system integration, verification and validation
• Develop assembly and test procedures, release engineering documentation and transfer designs to manufacturing

Required profile

• B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering
• At least 3 years of experience in mechanical design
• Experience with manufacturing and fabrication methods, motion system design and DFX principles
• Experience working on multidisciplinary systems
• Strong understanding of GD&T and tolerance analysis
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
