Manufacturing Execution & Systems Engineer

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Manufacturing Execution & Systems Engineer to support daily manufacturing operations, drive continuous improvement, and integrate digital solutions across the production floor in Rehovot, Israel.

Key responsibilities

• Support and enhance Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), providing solutions for complex operational cases.
• Implement and maintain manufacturing workflows, routings, and Final Integration Procedures within MES.
• Develop dashboards and reports using Tableau and Power BI, analysing data to identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunities.
• Integrate data across SAP, MES, SharePoint, Smartsheet and other enterprise tools to ensure seamless process execution.
• Collaborate with global teams, including engineering and support groups in India, to prioritise activities and resolve issues.
• Lead process‑gap analyses and improvement initiatives, influencing cross‑functional stakeholders without direct authority.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electronics Engineering, Information Systems or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in manufacturing, operations or manufacturing systems.
• Experience with MES platforms, preferably SAP ME.
• Familiarity with business‑intelligence tools such as Tableau and Power BI.
• Hands‑on experience with AI‑driven tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, Claude).
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills in English.
