Low-Level Rust Developer for Big Data Infrastructure

About the role

We are looking for a senior Low‑Level Rust Developer to join an Israel‑based Big Data infrastructure startup. You will work on next‑generation, performance‑critical components that power large‑scale data processing systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and own complex, performance‑critical Rust components from concept to production.
• Optimize memory layout, I/O paths and concurrency to meet strict latency and throughput goals.
• Navigate hardware/software boundaries, including low‑level system architecture and networking stacks.
• Collaborate with top engineers in a high‑autonomy environment and deliver impact without hand‑holding.
• Investigate and improve unfamiliar codebases quickly, ensuring high quality and reliability.

Required profile

• 5+ years of systems programming experience.
• Proven track record delivering high‑performance, low‑level software.
• Comfortable working in autonomous teams with high standards.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Rust programming language.
• Deep understanding of computer architecture, operating systems and networking fundamentals.
• Experience with multi‑threading, custom allocators and memory layout optimization.
• Low‑level system architecture and performance optimization expertise.
