Logistics Lead

About the role

AVT is seeking a Logistics Lead to oversee its import and export operations and manage end‑to‑end logistics processes. The role will involve coordinating international shipments, working with internal stakeholders and external partners, and leading a small logistics team.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day import and export activities, including customs documentation and regulatory compliance.
• Lead and develop a logistics team of two, handling work allocation, training and performance follow‑up.
• Coordinate international shipments such as drop shipments, exhibition shipments and complex freight movements.
• Review logistics costs, identify efficiency opportunities and drive cost‑reduction initiatives.
• Maintain relationships with freight forwarders, couriers and customs brokers, obtain quotations and track shipments.
• Collaborate with Planning, Warehouse, Production, Sales, Marketing, Service and Finance to ensure seamless logistics support.
• Prepare and approve freight invoices, generate periodic management reports and monitor regulatory changes.
• Lead continuous improvement of logistics processes and handle exceptions to ensure business continuity.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics, import/export or international shipping.
• Strong knowledge of import/export procedures and customs regulations.
• Proven ability to manage a small team and work independently in a dynamic environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder collaboration.

Required skills

• Experience working with freight forwarders, courier companies and customs brokers.
• Familiarity with customs classification and documentation requirements.
