Logistical Assistant

About the role

The Logistical Assistant supports the smooth flow of goods by combining warehouse duties with occasional driver responsibilities. You will ensure timely, safe deliveries while helping to keep inventory accurate and organized.

Key responsibilities

• Safely operate company vehicles, plan efficient routes and load/unload shipments.
• Assist with receiving, storing, organizing inventory and performing regular stock checks.
• Prepare goods for dispatch, including packing, labeling and completing delivery documentation.
• Communicate delivery schedules with warehouse staff, supervisors and customers, reporting any delays or incidents.
• Follow traffic laws, company driving policies and health‑safety standards during all loading and unloading activities.
• Conduct pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections, schedule servicing and report mechanical faults.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent (certificate studies in logistics/warehousing are a plus).
• 1‑2 years of hands‑on experience in logistics, warehousing or a distribution environment.
• Valid driver’s licence and ability to operate company vehicles safely.
• Experience performing inventory counts, adjusting quantities and reporting shortages.
• Punctual, organized and able to work well with internal teams and external customers.
• Good interpersonal skills for coordination with warehouse staff and customers.
