Lab & NPI Technician

About the role

FUSE is seeking an R&D Lab & NPI Technician to turn engineering concepts into physical prototypes in a fast‑paced autonomous systems environment. You will work hands‑on with electromechanical assemblies, 3D printing, and CNC machining to enable rapid testing and deployment of robotic platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble electromechanical components, prototypes, and test systems according to engineering specifications.
• Operate FDM and SLA 3D printers to produce parts and models from CAD files.
• Run CNC machines to mill carbon‑fiber plates and other composite materials.
• Design simple 3D‑printed or CNC‑machined solutions independently when required.
• Provide on‑site technical support to field‑testing teams, performing adjustments and repairs.
• Perform soldering and basic electronics work on prototypes.
• Troubleshoot failures, participate in root‑cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate closely with R&D engineers, project managers, and testing teams to solve problems quickly.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with electromechanical assemblies.
• Ability to read and work from eDrawings.
• Strong attention to detail and a problem‑solving mindset.
• Capability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Service‑oriented attitude with the ability to perform under pressure.

Required skills

• 3D printing (FDM/SLA) and related software.
• CNC machining and milling of carbon‑fiber/composite materials.
• Electromechanical assembly techniques.
• Soldering and basic electronics.
• Proficiency with eDrawings.
