Journeyman Electrician – Electrical Systems Maintenance

About the role

The Journeyman Electrician will be based in Israel supporting the AFCAPV Program. Working under the supervision of the Electrician Journeyman Lead, you will ensure reliable power distribution for both facility operations and telecommunications equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Install, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, operate and maintain electrical power distribution and generating equipment.
• Maintain continuous power to telecommunications gear and keep the facility’s electrical distribution system in good repair.
• Perform upgrades and repairs in accordance with NEC 2008 standards and new‑construction work to NEC 2011 and applicable MIL regulations.
• Execute other duties as assigned, supporting both commercial and industrial electrical projects.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent; CAC eligibility or ability to obtain a Common Access Card.
• Journeyman Electrician license and ability to obtain a host‑country driver’s license.
• 5–7 years of experience in electrical wiring, planning, layout and installation of distribution systems under a licensed contractor.
• Willingness to work in extreme weather conditions (up to 120 °F) and both indoor and outdoor environments.

Required skills

• Thorough knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other electrical codes.
• Experience with electrical distribution systems and wiring.
• Basic computer proficiency for documentation and reporting.
