HVAC & Refrigeration Systems Technician

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on HVAC & Refrigeration Systems Technician to join our Facilities team in Jerusalem. The role involves operating, maintaining, troubleshooting and continuously improving HVAC and refrigeration equipment across our company’s sites.

Key responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve HVAC and refrigeration systems across company facilities.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, fault diagnosis, inspections, testing and day‑to‑day technical activities.
• Support and troubleshoot chillers, cooling towers, AHUs, fans, pumps, valves, chilled‑water systems, VRF/VRV systems, compressors and related controls.
• Maintain and troubleshoot commercial refrigeration equipment such as refrigerators, freezers, cold rooms and kitchen cooling units.
• Monitor systems through the Building Management System, investigate alarms and abnormal performance, and drive issues to resolution.
• Identify root causes of recurring failures and support corrective actions and system improvements.
• Collaborate with the HVAC system owner, technicians, contractors and service providers during maintenance, repairs, upgrades and projects.
• Document maintenance activities and ensure proper closure of work orders in the facility management system.

Required profile

• 3‑5+ years of hands‑on experience operating, maintaining and troubleshooting HVAC and/or refrigeration systems in commercial, industrial or high‑tech facilities.
• Practical experience with central HVAC components such as chillers, cooling towers, AHUs, fans, pumps, chilled‑water loops and associated controls.
• Experience with commercial refrigeration equipment, compressors, refrigerators, freezers and cold‑room systems.
• Strong troubleshooting ability to diagnose faults independently in the field.
• Experience with BMS/control systems, including alarms, setpoints, trends and equipment status (advantage).
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, manuals and equipment documentation.
• Experience working with HVAC/refrigeration contractors and service providers.
• Relevant technical certification or professional training in HVAC/refrigeration (advantage).
