Global Category Manager - Strategic Procurement

About the role

Netafim is looking for a Global Category Manager to join its Global Procurement team and lead strategic sourcing categories supporting water and irrigation solutions across global markets. The role manages suppliers in Israel and abroad, leads strategic procurement initiatives, runs commercial negotiations, develops long-term supplier agreements and builds category strategies aligned with the company's global business needs.

Key responsibilities

• Manage strategic procurement categories and a portfolio of local and global suppliers.
• Lead sourcing activities, tenders, supplier evaluation and supplier onboarding.
• Conduct commercial negotiations and manage agreements and contracts with suppliers in Israel and internationally.
• Work with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing and Business Units.
• Drive cost reduction, supplier performance improvement and risk mitigation.
• Monitor market trends, technological developments and sourcing opportunities.
• Visit suppliers in Israel regularly and travel internationally occasionally.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a global industrial company.
• Experience in direct procurement of technical and physical products.
• Supplier experience in electrical systems, electronics, mechanical products, hydraulics or multidisciplinary technical systems.
• Proven experience managing commercial negotiations, contracts and supplier relationships locally and globally.
• Bachelor's degree is an advantage.
