Game Engineer

About the role

Moon Active is seeking an experienced Game Engineer to help shape the core gameplay experience of its next‑generation mobile titles. You will work on both client‑side Unity development and lightweight, scalable backend services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain high‑performance, reusable game features.
• Drive features from technical design through production, owning client logic and related backend endpoints.
• Optimize and scale client‑side gameplay and backend systems for millions of players.
• Implement robust network protocols, state synchronization, and data persistence.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Game Designers, and Artists to iterate quickly on new mechanics.

Required profile

• 4+ years of mobile game development experience with strong Unity expertise.
• Deep understanding of object‑oriented programming, design patterns, and data‑driven development.
• Practical experience with client‑server systems (APIs, WebSockets, JSON/Protobuf) and state synchronization.
• Expertise in mobile optimization, performance profiling, and memory management.
• Experience with local/remote data persistence, unit testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong product orientation, problem‑solving abilities, and a collaborative mindset.
