Field Service Technician

About the role

As a Field Service Technician you will work directly at customer sites, performing mechanical installation, maintenance and repair on gas turbines, steam turbines and generators. You will join an international field service team, ensuring safe execution, high‑quality workmanship and reliable operation of large rotating equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform onsite mechanical installation, maintenance, overhaul and commissioning of turbines and generators.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues using technical documentation, drawings and service procedures.
• Execute preventive maintenance, inspections, calibrations and system configurations to guarantee equipment reliability.
• Ensure strict compliance with EHS, quality standards and site‑specific safety procedures.
• Document work performed and support accurate reporting during service activities.
• Provide on‑site training to customer personnel and lead daily operations in non‑routine situations.
• Maintain strong customer relationships through effective technical support and clear communication.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience as a mechanical technician or fitter in an industrial or heavy‑equipment environment.
• Experience with gas turbines, steam turbines or generators is an advantage.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and service documentation.
• Working knowledge of English sufficient for technical communication.
• Willingness to travel worldwide and work extended periods away from home.
• Strong commitment to health, safety, quality and teamwork in a multicultural setting.
