Engineering Director

About the role

Ox Security is looking for an Engineering Director to lead a core engineering group that builds the heart of its Active Application Security Posture Management platform. This high‑impact, cross‑functional role sits at the intersection of product, architecture, security, and marketing, driving the creation of new product pillars while scaling the engineering team.

Key responsibilities

• Own the vision and execution of new product pillars within the core cyber‑security suite.
• Recruit, hire, and develop top engineering talent, fostering a culture of ownership, collaboration, and excellence.
• Plan, prioritize, and deliver critical projects that shape the foundation of Ox’s platform.
• Partner closely with product, architecture, security, and product‑marketing teams to align technical direction with business goals.
• Mentor engineers, providing guidance for technical growth and career development.
• Continuously improve processes by applying strategic thinking, hands‑on leadership, and an agile mindset.

Required profile

• 7+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Proven track record of building and launching products from scratch.
• Demonstrated ability to grow engineering teams in fast‑moving, dynamic environments.
• Strong architectural expertise with the confidence to make high‑level technical decisions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Comfortable thriving in a hybrid, fast‑paced startup setting.
