Electrical Post‑Silicon Characterization & Validation Engineer

About the role

The Electrical Post‑Silicon Characterization & Validation Engineer will join Cisco's Silicon One EPSV team in Caesarea, working directly with silicon prototypes to ensure they meet performance and yield targets. The role combines hands‑on lab debugging with data‑driven analysis to influence design and production.

Key responsibilities

• Lead hands‑on debugging of silicon performance, characterization, and yield issues in the lab.
• Bring up ASICs on validation boards, focusing on SerDes, high‑speed interfaces, and power/clock domains.
• Run PVT (Process, Voltage, Temperature) characterizations and analyze large data sets to resolve bottlenecks.
• Develop and maintain Python scripts to automate test equipment and data analysis.
• Define validation methodologies and advanced measurement techniques for the team.

Required profile

• B.Sc. in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
• 6+ years of post‑silicon validation, characterization, or hardware testing experience.
• Proven ability to work with global architecture, design, and DFT teams.
• Strong technical ownership and independent problem‑solving skills.

Required skills

• Python programming for automation.
• Use of oscilloscopes, vector network analyzers (VNAs), time‑domain reflectometers (TDRs) and phase‑noise analyzers.
• ASIC bring‑up on evaluation boards, especially SerDes and DC/DC channels.
• Signal integrity and power integrity analysis (jitter, supply noise).
• Data analysis and large‑dataset handling.
