EHS Lead – Environmental Health & Safety Senior Specialist

About the role
We are seeking an experienced Health, Safety and Environmental engineer to lead EHS activities at our Netanya site and Hadera warehouse in Israel. The role provides leadership and technical guidance to develop, implement, maintain and continuously improve the Environmental, Health and Safety Management System, ensuring full compliance with legal requirements and corporate standards.
Key responsibilities
- Manage site EHS programs, conduct routine risk assessments and drive corrective actions.
- Maintain and improve EHS procedures and systems in line with local regulations and company policies.
- Influence site staff to ensure site‑wide EHS compliance and promote personal ownership of safety.
- Develop, implement and monitor site‑specific EHS programs, reporting non‑conformities and corrective actions.
- Coordinate with corporate EHS, Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing and R&D teams.
- Design and deliver site‑specific EHS training covering regulatory and best‑practice requirements.
- Lead investigations of incidents, spills, accidents and near‑misses to determine root causes and prevent recurrence.
- Oversee proper handling and disposal of waste materials and ensure all licenses, permits and performance indicators are up‑to‑date.
- Advise management on upcoming EHS regulations and implement global EHS initiatives at the site.
Required profile
- Minimum 4 + years of experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (electronics, plastics, automotive, chemical or pharmaceutical).
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental science, safety, chemistry or related field.
- Proven ability to work with EHS regulatory agencies and corporate support functions.
- Strong knowledge of local and national EHS laws and regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
- High ethical standards and a role‑model for compliance and integrity.
- Analytical and logical problem‑solving abilities.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
