Director, Advanced Imaging & Clinical Intelligence

About the role

The Director will lead Abbott's electrophysiology imaging innovation from Haifa, shaping the long‑term vision for Intracardiac Echocardiography, Transesophageal Echocardiography and CT, and driving AI‑enabled imaging strategies that improve procedural efficiency and patient outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the technology roadmap for advanced imaging and AI‑driven clinical intelligence across EP and structural heart procedures.
• Lead multidisciplinary research teams in ultrasound, computer vision, machine learning, anatomical modeling and workflow automation, advancing concepts from feasibility to product transfer.
• Build and maintain strategic collaborations with KOLs, academic institutions, start‑ups and technology partners to accelerate innovation.
• Champion intellectual property creation, overseeing invention disclosures, patents and publications.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Biomedical, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics or related field; Ph.D. preferred.
• 12+ years of progressive leadership in advanced technology development, medical imaging or AI, with a proven track record of moving early‑stage technologies into commercial products.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing external research collaborations.
• Strong executive communication skills and ability to influence senior leadership.
