Devices Software Engineer – Advanced Device Control

About the role

As a Devices Software Engineer you will work on advanced device‑control software that directly interfaces with real hardware, shaping the performance and reliability of next‑generation semiconductor inspection tools. This hands‑on role is part of a cutting‑edge R&D team developing metrology and inspection systems for wafer fabrication.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain device drivers and platform flows.
• Integrate and test software with real hardware components.
• Collaborate closely with hardware and system design engineers to ensure seamless device operation and define implementation requirements.
• Implement and optimise device‑control logic for high‑performance systems.

Required profile

• 8+ years of professional experience in software development.
• Strong experience with Java; Python is a plus.
• Familiarity with electronic control boards and board‑level integration.
• Hands‑on approach to integration and testing with real hardware, including experience with GitHub Copilot or equivalent tools.

Required skills

• Java programming.
