Controller for High-Growth Tech Startup

About the role

We are seeking a talented and detail‑oriented Controller to join a dynamic finance team in a rapidly growing tech startup based in Tel Aviv. You will own month‑end closures, workpaper controls, US GAAP reporting, and revenue recognition, while gaining exposure to advanced financial forecasting, data environments, and AI tools.

Key responsibilities

• Lead month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end closure processes.
• Prepare, review, and maintain financial workpapers and controls.
• Ensure financial reporting complies with US GAAP standards.
• Oversee revenue recognition processes.
• Collaborate with the finance team on advanced forecasting, data analysis, and AI‑driven financial processes.

Required profile

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) – Big 4 alumni (must).
• 2–3 years of post‑Big 4 experience in a high‑tech company or startup, preferably SaaS.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and revenue recognition.
• High level of self‑management and ability to work independently.
• Very strong English (written and verbal) (must).
• Proficiency with AI tools, specifically Claude, to streamline workflows.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset (“ability to crack complex challenges”).
• High accountability, adaptability, and excellent analytical and technical skills.
