Cloud Engineer (Student Position)

About the role

Dataspan.ai is building its founding generative AI team and is looking for a motivated student to join as a Cloud Engineer. You will dive into the latest generative AI research, collaborate with the research community, and turn cutting‑edge ideas into functional prototypes that add value for our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and evaluate the newest research in generative AI.
• Engage with academic and industry researchers to explore novel directions.
• Implement and prototype generative AI models that can be integrated into cloud services.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure high‑quality, production‑ready code.

Required profile

• PhD or MSc (or equivalent research experience) in deep learning, computer vision, NLP, or related fields.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with a track record of turning research papers into working prototypes.
• Passion for staying up‑to‑date with modern neural network architectures.
• Willingness to mentor and coach teammates interested in generative AI.

Required skills

• Python programming.
• Deep‑learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Version control with Git.
• Linux command line and Bash scripting.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
