Aeronautical Technical Manager

About the role

We are seeking an Aeronautical Technical Manager for our Elbit site in the Bar‑Lev Industrial Zone (Haifa). This senior leadership position oversees the design, development, and structural upgrades of airborne platforms within a defense‑focused aerospace environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop airborne structures and lead structural upgrade programs.
• Manage a matrix team of engineers and support functions, ensuring delivery from concept through serial production.
• Act as the technical counterpart to the Program Manager, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
• Prepare and control the engineering schedule (Gantt), and ensure compliance with program requirements.
• Maintain joint responsibility for quality, schedule, and cost targets.
• Organise and lead engineering design reviews and key decision points.
• Coordinate across multiple engineering disciplines and manage subcontractors/consultants.

Required profile

• B.Sc. in Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering (mandatory); M.Sc. is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in structural design or aircraft modification design.
• Proven technical leadership in aerospace projects.
• Ability to learn new technical domains quickly.
• Experience managing subcontractors and consultants (advantage).
• Familiarity with civil and military aviation standards (advantage).
